Visual approach clearance is delivered on pilot request or air traffic controller proposal.

During visual approach, it is asked to avoid flying over urban areas shown on AIP FRANCE chart AD2 LFMN ENV 01, as well as avoiding all deviations west of RDL 175° CGS at less than 6 NM DME CGS.

In the event that this measure is not observed, the French ministerial decree dated June 7th, 2004, (concerning restrictions of use of the Nice Côte d'Azur airfield) may impose a maximum fine of
€ 20,000.

Furthermore, for Runway 22 when weather and lighting conditions for SALEYA procedure are not met, visual approach is prohibited.

Presence of helicopter traffic between 0 and 500 ft south of the airport, between Cape Ferrat and Cape Antibes. See also tab “helicopters”.
